Workhouse Arts Center Collector's Showcase

February 23 marks annual Workhouse's Collector's Showcase.

This is how it works. Workhouse juried artists contribute artwork for event attendees to win by lottery. The pieces are judged for the artists to win prizes and are available for viewing until the event.

My "Cape May Inlet" received an Honorable Mention from judge, Dr. Joann Moser, Deputy Chief Curator Smithsonian American Art Museum.

Attend February 23 for the gala evening to see if you might be able to choose it in the lottery. Look to the link for ticket info.

This is the PSV Annual Anniversary Exhibit at Goodwin House in Alexandria.We are celebrating two years since inception and have come a long, long way.

Timeline:
Entries are due by February 15.
Installation is March 2, 10am.
The reception is March 10, 2-4pm.
De-installation is April 13, 9am.

First Prize in Photography, Menokin

The results are in at the Menokin Photography Contest!

I won First Place for "Reassembled"

and earned an Honorable Mention for "Best Chimneypiece"

both in architecture.

It was a pleasure to meet the judge, Richmond photographer Hullihen Williams Moore, who studied with Ansel Adams, and to hear his evaluation of my photos.
